Monstera Tattoo

The Monstera Tattoo is a rare and distinctive Monstera variety known for its unusual patterned variegation. Instead of the typical large white sectors seen on many variegated Monsteras, Tattoo develops intricate markings across the leaves that can create a beautifully marbled, almost tattoo-like appearance.

Each leaf develops its own pattern, combining different shades of green with lighter cream, yellow-green and minty tones. As the plant matures and produces larger, fenestrated leaves, the characteristic pattern becomes even more impressive.

Monstera Tattoo Care

Give your Monstera Tattoo plenty of bright, indirect light. Good lighting helps encourage compact, healthy growth and allows the unique leaf pattern to show at its best. Avoid prolonged strong direct sunlight, particularly on the lighter areas of the foliage.

Plant it in a chunky, well-draining aroid soil mix and allow the upper part of the substrate to dry slightly before watering again. Like most Monsteras, it appreciates warm temperatures, moderate to high humidity and good airflow.

Providing a moss pole or other climbing support will help the plant mature and develop larger leaves with increasingly impressive fenestrations.
