Epiphyllum Anguliger

  • 12CM pot
The Epiphyllum Anguliger, also known as the zigzag cactus or fishbone cactus, is a stunningly shaped succulent plant. Despite its unique appearance, it belongs to the cactus family. Its distinctive wavy leaf shape has earned it various names, including zigzag cactus and fishbone cactus.

Preferring bright but indirect sunlight, the Epiphyllum Anguliger thrives in many indoor locations, making it a versatile addition to any home. This cactus is particularly well-suited as a hanging plant. Initially, its leaves grow upright, but as they reach approximately 30cm in length, they begin to cascade downward. Ultimately, the leaves can extend up to 1 meter in length.

Native to subtropical forests in Mexico, the Epiphyllum Anguliger requires slightly more water than typical cacti and can tolerate slightly damp soil for longer periods.

Not only are the leaves of the Epiphyllum Anguliger visually striking, but its summer-blooming flowers are also a sight to behold. These flowers, reaching sizes of up to 12cm, are cream-white in color and emit a subtle sweet fragrance. However, each flower only remains open for a single day.
