The lesser-known Anthurium villenaorum (undefined) boasts a strikingly beautiful appearance and requires minimal care. Tentatively categorized within the Cardiolonchium, Multinervium, or Pachyneurium sections due to its unique characteristics, this species exhibits the distinctive involute vernation typical of the latter two sections. Its velvety texture can vary depending on its environment, ranging from sub-velvety to fully velvety, while its petioles display a sharply triangular cross-section.

Derived from the Greek words Ć”nthos meaning “flower” and ourĆ” meaning “tail,” combined with the New Latin suffix -ium, the genus name Anthurium can be literally interpreted as “flowering tail.”
