The lowlands of the San Martin region of Peru are where the Anthurium villenaorum is native. It is an epiphytic plant, meaning that it grows on other plants, and its roots draw nutrition from the water and the air.Ā Triangular petioles and velvety leaves are distinctive features of this very rare plant. Its lush green leaves, which have lovely white veins, can grow to a length of 75 cm. Young leaves are a light green color, and as they age, they get a darker shade of green. The stunning Anthurium can bloom up to five times per year!Ā It is a simple plant that prefers a soil that drains water fast and is thoroughly aerated. It requires more water as it receives more sun and heat.
